Hop for Gratitude
Welcome to InKing Royalty’s November Blog Hop! Today’s hop is filled with inspiring projects that share the gratefulness of the season. Whether you are ready to celebrate Thanksgiving this week or just feel reflective of the things that make you thankful, we are sure you’ll find great inspiration from our talented team members. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Hi, Megan here.
I sure do like whimsical cards with lots of color and personality. I think my Acorn cards fits that bill don’t you. The So Saffron and Tangerine Tango Lighthearted Leaves were embossed in Gold. The Tip Top Taupe sponging around the edges gave the leaves so much depth.
Mr. Acorn was fashioned using the Delicate Ornament Dies and Chocolate Chip cardstock. His Early Espress cap looks pretty jaunty. He is resting on a Woodgrain embossed panel of Garden Green.
The greeting is also from the Lighthearted Leaves set, I used a Stampin Marker to color just the portion I wanted to use. Love that technique
Mr. Acorn is so ready for his fall party. As he rests in his bed of leaves, he is saying, I am so thankful for all my leaf friends even though they are falling all around me .
Now for Mom’s card.
Hi everyone this is Becky.
My card was made with the Peaceful Dove stamp colored with Stampin Write markers. I decided our Dove of Thanksgiving would love beautiful Blackberry Bliss, Pear Pizzazz and Delightful Dijon feathers.
I first stamped the dove with versamark on Very Vanilla then embossed the image with Gold embossing powder.
The tips of the feather were colored with the darkest ink, BlackBerry Bliss. The Pear Pizzazz and finally Delightful Dijon were applied to the smaller feathers.
I left the remainder of the Dove uncolored. She really didn’t need more color, she is elegant just the way she is.
The Dove layer sits on Gold Foil which accentuates the embossing. Next the Blackberry Bliss layer which has larger margins sets off the stamped image. I really like the way it looks, Simple Elegance.
The stitched Blackberry Bliss bow sits on loops of gold Cording . The cording and bow make a perfect nest for the Happy Thanksgiving sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
I trust you enjoyed our cards and will continue hopping along. But before you go I want to make sure you take advantage of the Online extravaganza so click here to shop on my online store.
